Kyoto Hotel Okuru has invested in its restaurant facilities with the opening of new dining venues around the city, which allow guests to dine around the world.

Kyoto Hotel Okura has announced a range of new off-property directly owned restaurant openings. The latest, slated to open on 1st July 2013, will be Kyoto Hotel Okura The Garden Okazaki. The restaurant is located in one of the most picturesque quarters Kyoto with the Higashiyama mountain range as backdrop.

Kyoto Hotel Okura The Garden Okazaki is surrounded by the landmark vermillion Heian Jingu Grand Shrine, Kyoto Municipal Art Gallery, National Modern Art Gallery, a number of parks and the duplex of Kyoto Kaikan Hall and Miyako Messe exhibition halls. Its location means it is well placed to serve the needs of the new MICE area that is expected to thrive with the opening of the rebuilt Kyoto Kaikan Hall in 2015.

The new restaurant will serve the best of Kyoto Hotel Okura's cuisine in a relaxed modern environment that is sure to appeal to discerning meeting planners. The facility, including an outside terrace that will be particularly popular on summer nights, has the capacity for 160 making it an ideal venue for business gala dinners and receptions.

The opening follows on from two other establishments which began serving at the end of 2012. Ichinofunairi La Terrace Ryoui - a European inspired terrace with exterior seating overlooking the historic site of Ichinofunairi, and Ichinofunairi Le Petit Suetomi – a specialist cafe where traditional handmade Kyoto confectionery can be enjoyed.

Establishments owned by Kyoto Hotel Okura are well known for offering first class dining experiences. Its flagship off-property restaurant Awatasanso earned a Michelin star in the 2012 and 2013 Red Guide to Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nara.

Kyoto Convention Bureau comments: “The opening of new dining facilities by Kyoto Hotel Okuru extends its offering to business visitors who will be able to enjoy first class cuisine in-house. Kyoto Hotel Okuru The Garden Okazaki is ideally located for the MICE market following the development of the area as a place to do business in Kyoto. It offers all the facilities needed for gala dinners and evening receptions with a picturesque backdrop which fully showcases the best the city has to offer.”
