Maritim now offers free WLAN access in its Berlin hotels In a pilot project, the Maritim Hotel Berlin and Maritim proArte Hotel Berlin are now offering guests free WLAN access to the Internet.
Since mid-May, Maritim has been offering overnight guests free WLAN access to the Web in two of its Berlin hotels as part of a pilot project. The initiative comes in response to frequent guest requests for free Internet access. The service offered is a WLAN connection with standard bandwidth, which makes free surfing possible. If required, this access can be upgraded to premium access with an even higher bandwidth, for a small charge. This high-speed surfing experience can be booked for only 4.95 Euro per day. "Free Internet access is seen as an increasingly indispensable service these days. No hotel can remain blind to this fact and Maritim has therefore launched this pilot project, which should shortly be available at all Maritim Hotels," predicts CEO Gerd Prochaska. This free Internet access is also available in Maritim hotels equipped with business centres. In these centres guests can use the hotel devices to access the Internet free of charge and download, write or send e-mail messages, for example.
The Maritim Hotelgesellschaft is Germany's largest owner-managed hotel group and the company’s nationwide hotel network is complemented by hotels in seven countries overseas: Mauritius, Egypt, Turkey, Malta, Spain, China and Latvia. The group’s ongoing expansion continues to strengthen its position within the European first-class hotel industry.
