Taiwan’s second Four Points by Sheraton property opens

FourPointsbySheraton PenghuFollowing the opening of Four Points by Sheraton Taipei, Zhonghe which was the brand’s first property in Taiwan, now another property opens its doors. Four Points by Sheraton Penghu becomes the first internationally branded hotel in Magong City, Penghu Island, and the second Four Points hotel in Taiwan.

The opening of Four Points by Sheraton Penghu underscores the brand’s strong growth in Greater China with 23 operating hotels and more than 30 hotels in pipeline throughout the country. The new property is just minutes from various shopping, dining and entertainment venues. Additionally, Magong International Airport (MZG) is a convenient 15-minute drive.

Four Points Penghu has 308 stylish guestrooms and 23 suites with private balconies that guestrooms feature Four Points signature bed, 48-inch flat screen TV, soothing rainforest shower, and all the extras that guests love, such as complimentary bottled water and fast and free WiFi throughout the hotel.

Dining options include The Eatery, the brand’s signature restaurant, offering a range of delicious international cuisines, and China Spice, serving authentic Taiwanese dishes using the island’s freshest seafood. At Apatite lobby lounge, guests can enjoy authentic local brews as part of the signature Best Brews program, or enjoy live music at the lower level Swave bar.

The hotel perfectly blends business and pleasure. Guests can go for a swim or soak up the sun at the hotel’s zero edge swimming pool overlooking Magong Harbor #3, work out in the state-of-the-art fitness center, or enjoy an invigorating sauna or steam session. The hotel also boasts an ideal space for any meeting or social gathering, with an 810 square meter expansive and pillar-less Grand Ballroom and several multifunction rooms.

Penghu Island, where the hotel is located, is made up of ninety small isles also known as the Prescadores (Fisherman) Islands, named by Portuguese explorers. It is famed for its rich natural resources, including great beaches and more than 200 different bird species. Visitor highlights include the Fenggui area, Hsiaomen Whale Caves and Tongliang Great Banyan Tree, which is said to be 200 years old. In Penghu, fishing and snorkeling serve as popular activities. The island also offers an abundance of seafood, such as groupers, abalone, lobsters, clams and shellfish.

As part of the hotel’s grand opening, Four Points Penghu is offering an opening rate of NTD 5,200 net (US$ 160 net) per room per night in a Deluxe Room. Offer is valid until February 29, 2016.
