Venture to the mysterious city of Can Tho, Vietnam’s fourth largest city located in the centre of the Mekong Delta.
Best known for its floating markets, Can Tho, whose name translates to “River of Poems”, is also often referred to as “Tây Dô” (The Western Capital) in Vietnamese.
This vibrant city is one of the best places to get a glimpse at what modern Vietnamese life depicts without the decorative trappings of mass tourism. Beyond its floating markets, Can Tho is also well-remembered for its interesting old architecture. This deceivingly small-looking city of more than a million boasts a vibrant youth culture, tasty South Vietnamese food and has a reputation for always welcoming foreigners to its land.
