Air France pilot strike to cancel 60 percent of flights Monday

The France’s national carrier; Air France has cancelled 60 percent of its scheduled flightsfor the duration of a week-long pilots’ strike due to start tomorrow; Monday, September 15, 2014.

AirFrance A380 LandingAir France (AF) said it’s bracing for the most disruptive strike since 1998 tomorrow as pilots walk out over management plans to expand low-cost operations using flight crew paid less than at the mainline carrier.

Chief Executive Frederic Gagey said that the strike, which could run until September 22, would cost the airline between 10 and 15 million euros a day.
