The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) announced a new cooperation agreement between the Airports of Thailand (AOT) and New Kansai International Airport Company Limited (NKIAC) on tourist destinations and traveler information exchange.
The agreement, initiated with the objective of facilitating Thai and Japanese tourists travelling between Thailand and Japan, will see AOT promoting tourist attractions of Japan’s Kansai region at Don Mueang, Phuket and Chiang Mai International Airports. Likewise, NKIAC, which operates Kansai and Osaka International Airports, will promote Thai attractions to Japanese travelers.
Thailand will present promotional materials of Thai tourist destinations and activities, including its 2015 Discover Thainess video presentation. Mr. Sugree Sithivanich, Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications of TAT said that they are expecting to attract attention of Japanese travelers, who want to experience the many unique aspects of Thainess; such as, Thai boxing, dancing, cooking and the Thai way of life while holidaying in Thailand.
