Iberia Group airlines again led the world in punctuality in January according to the latest report by Flightstats. Iberia was the most punctual network airline last month, and the group’s low-cost unit Iberia Express won top punctuality honours in its category.
Of Iberia Group total of 13,750 flights in January, 92.72% arrived on time, putting the airline 6.18 percentage points above its nearest rival.
Iberia Express operated 2,223 flights in the month, with a punctuality score of 96.34%, putting the low-cost airline 4.57 points ahead of the second best.
The results confirm the trend set last year in which Iberia outperformed all other international network airlines in the punctuality ranking in the months of June, August, October and December, while Iberia Express was ranked as number one in punctuality for the entire year in the low-cast category.
The punctuality results reflect Iberia Group renewed commitment to giving its customers the best travel experience through every possible means, in this instance via the redesign of its flying schedules and the re-organisation and streamlining of pre-flight procedures.
