China’s exclusive national flag carrier; Air China plans to start regular flights between Budapest and Beijing on May 1. The Chinese airline plans to launch four flights every week between the two cities. Airbus A330-200 aircraft, which has a capacity of 227 seats, will be used for the route.
The flight from Beijing to Budapest will have a stop in Minsk, Belarus, and the flight from Budapest to Beijing will be a direct one.
The new route replaces a Hainan Airlines one that flew from 2004 to 2012. The one operated by Hainan Airlines terminated its service after the collapse of Hungary's national carrier Malev.
