Batumi International Airport, operated by TAV Georgia, welcomed the first direct flight from Odessa within the cooperation between TAV Georgia and YANAIR. Ukrainian airline company YANAIR will perform Batumi-Odessa reciprocal flights twice a week on Tuesday and Saturday via SAAB 340 aircraft throughout the season.
The passengers were welcomed with a cocktail at the terminal, where the executives of TAV Georgia and YANAIR celebrated the first flight. The passengers were treated a cake to celebrate the flights that connect the cities of the two countries.
YANAIR that entered Georgian aviation market last year will renew direct flights from Ukraine’s capital Kiev to Tbilisi and Batumi airports during the summer season.
Tbilisi and Batumi Airports hosted 23.804 flights in 2014 while providing services to more than 1.7 million passengers.
