mh370 debris search

More MH370 debris found on Reunion Island

The Malaysian government announced that more debris such as seat cushions and plane windows have now been found on Reunion Island. Malaysia’s Prime Minister Najib Razak said yesterday that the flaperon was from MH370, prosecutors in France, where the part is being analyzed, stopped short of declaring they were certain.

Paris Deputy Prosecutor Serge Mackowiak, used slightly less definite language, saying that there were “very strong presumptions” that the debris was from the Malaysian plane but that further tests would need to be carried out to confirm it.

Boeing officials have concluded that the part’s technical features — such as its color and the structure of its joints — confirm that it’s from a 777 aircraft, the same model as MH370.

Officials on Reunion are continuing to search the island’s shores for more possible debris from Flight MH370.
