How EasyJet flight from London to Turkey is forced to divert?

  • Published by Ozgur Tore

easyjetAn easyJet flight carrying dozens of British holidaymakers from London Gatwick Airport to Dalaman, Turkey was forced to divert. Passengers were shocked when the pilot announced that the plane had to divert to Milan in order to repair the damage.

According to The Sun, two off-duty flight attendants were already drinking Champagne when two passengers ordered a bottle to start their holiday celebrations early. A stewardess accidentally fired the cork into the roof of the plane while opening. The cork not only damaged the roof of the jet, it also caused oxygen masks to shoot down above the cabin crew seats at the back of the plane.

The easyJet flight, which took off at 4.20pm earlier this month, was halfway through into its four-hour journey when the drama unfolded.
