Germanwings returns to Berlin Schönefeld

From 5 October, the German airline began flying again from Berlin Schönefeld Airport – to Cologne/Bonn and Stuttgart. It is thus the only airline that serves both airports in the capital region. The connection from Schönefeld to Cologne/Bonn, which is initially being flown twice a day, will be offered three times a day, starting with the winter flight schedule.

Germanwings is operating Airbus A319 aircraft on this route. The flights depart Schönefeld at 08:30, 14:45 and 18:15 and take 1 hour and 10 minutes for the route to the Rhine.

Besides Cologne/Bonn, the airline will also again be flying to Stuttgart from Schönefeld, starting on 25 October. Airbus A319 aircraft will be operated on this route too. The flights will depart Schönefeld at 08:30, 15:55 and 19:50, from Monday to Friday. The flight time for the route’s 520 kilometres is 1 hour and 15 minutes.

With this additional commitment by Germanwings, passengers are afforded greater flexibility in their travel planning and benefit from Berlin’s improved domestic connections. The Lufthansa subsidiary currently also serves 30 destinations in Germany and Europe from Berlin Tegel.
