Tulum, Mexico more accessible with new direct flights

Tulum’s New Airport Welcomes U.S. Airlines

Traveling to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico has just become more convenient with the commencement of flights by U.S. airlines to Tulum’s new airport.

It allows tourists heading to the Cancún area to skip the crowded main airport, offering a faster route to the stunning resorts and attractions in Riviera Maya.

Today, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and other major carriers have launched their inaugural flights to the recently opened Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport in Tulum.

Since its opening in December, the airport’s service offerings have been progressively expanding, enhancing accessibility to the region.

American Airlines has introduced two daily flights from Dallas and one daily round-trip from both Charlotte and Miami to Tulum.

Delta Air Lines now provides a daily round trip from Atlanta. These services started on Thursday, March 28, significantly improving the travel experience for visitors to Tulum and the broader Riviera Maya.

United Airlines is set to join the list of carriers serving Tulum with flights from Newark, Chicago, and Houston starting March 31. A daily round-trip from Los Angeles will be added to their schedule for the summer season, starting May 23.

JetBlue and Spirit Airlines are also planning to offer direct flights, further increasing options for travelers.

JetBlue‘s daily nonstop service from New York (JFK) to Tulum is scheduled to begin on June 13.

Spirit Airlines plans to offer daily round-trip services from Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, although the start date is pending due to equipment availability.

These new flight options to Tulum’s Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport represent a significant boost for tourism in the Mayan Riviera, providing more convenient access to its renowned resorts, beaches, and cultural sites. See the latest hotel openings in Mexico.
