Scoot launches a world’s first inflight hot yoga class now available to guests on our daily flight TZ 220 from Singapore to Hong Kong.
Operating the widebody Boeing 777-200 means extra leg (and elbow) room to perform the half-moon pose!
Said Campbell Wilson, CEO of Scoot, “We all love a good stretch during flight so, following the success of our ScootInSilence child-free cabin, Scoot is delighted to launch the YogaZone! The Scoot YogaZone uses our aptly-named s-t-r-e-t-c-h seats’ 38” legroom to their fullest, enabling you to really get a full body workout whilst zooming to your destination. What’s more, we’ll even cater to the Bikram enthusiasts by ramping up a small part of the cabin to 40.6 C for 60 minutes during flight, just like your own yoga studio’s hot room.”
If you’re just a yoga novice, don’t worry: our ultra-flexible Scootees along with instructors Maria Chan and Jezeral Heng from Bikram Yoga Katong will be on hand to assist, guide – and untie - if needed. The yoga area is physically separated by bulkheads, which means the Bikram class will not affect the comfort of guests in other areas of the aircraft.
For those who find yoga just too much hard work, or who don’t know the difference between the lotus pose and the monkey pose, you can still enjoy more space. Scoot is introducing MaxYourSpace, enabling you to guarantee – for a small fee - that the seat next to yours will be empty… so you’ll be free to strike whatever pose takes your fancy!
The free inflight yoga class is available for free on a limited one-month trial.
Guests can approach our Scootees to sign up for the yoga class participation onboard flights.
