The International Association of Conference Centres announced the election of new executive officers of the IACC Board of Directors for an extended two-year term beginning in February 2012.
As part of a global goal to deliver an exciting series of initiatives aimed at establishing IACC as the "Thought Leader on the Meeting Experience", the association created new roles and elected a new Executive Board to lead and deliver against this exciting new strategy for IACC. Part of this strategy is to establish the association in new countries and regions not currently represented, including the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
Peter Stewart, Director of Operations at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, was elected President. Stewart has been active with IACC for 15 years and has served as President of the Australia Chapter.
Jeu Bressers, Owner/General Manager at Conference Centre Kapellerput in Heeze, The Netherlands, was elected Vice President. A longtime veteran of the hospitality and meetings industry, Bressers is the founder and co-owner of Conference-hotel Kapellerput, specialising in mid-size business meetings. Active with IACC over the past five years, Bressers was elected President of the IACC European Chapter in 2010.
Peter Stockmann was elected Secretary/Treasurer. Stockman is CEO of 3p Business Solutions in the United States, a consultancy firm that advances ideal learning and meeting experiences and develops new and effective ways of doing business. Stockmann joined IACC in 1995 was elected to the Americas’ Board of Directors in 2002 and currently serves as President.Peter Stewart said “It is a great privilege to continue to serve IACC and to work with my colleagues on the future direction of this great organisation. “
