Bea (Beate) Berke has been appointed General Manager Turkey for Lufthansa German Airlines beginning 1st of August.
In her new position she is responsible for all sales and marketing activities for Lufthansa in Turkey which are handled out of the airline’s regional office in Istanbul.
Berke started her career with Lufthansa in 1992. Prior to her function in Turkey, Bea Berke had been Managing Director Operations & Airport Services Greater China for almost four years. In that function she was responsible for Lufthansa’s operations in Greater China, maximizing revenues through production optimization and coordinating operation related processes with HQ departments. From 2006 to 2008 she worked as a Station Manager for Lufthansa and SWISS in Manchester and was in charge of two airports in the UK. Prior to this, she gained further experience in Lufthansa’s operational field as Senior Manager Infrastructure at Lufthansa’s biggest hub, Frankfurt. In her hometown Frankfurt, Berke acquired further knowledge in a number of marketing and communication roles in the ground service and quality management field.
Bea Berke holds a degree in Business Administration (VWA) from the Hessian Academy of Administration and Business in Frankfurt. Furthermore, in 2011 she went through a Senior Executive Program for China by the Harvard Business School in the United States including preparation of a business case study about Lufthansa.Bea Berke was born on 25th June 1969 in Frankfurt. She is married and has one son.
