Stephanie Torr, with nearly 30 years of professional experience in tourism, publishing and brand marketing, has been named Corporate Director of Tourism for The Mills®.
The announcement was made by Kelly Mikesell, Vice President of Marketing for The Mills, one of five real estate platforms owned by Simon Property Group.
In her new role, Torr will focus on the strategic development of domestic and international tourism programs to further promote the Mills’ impressive portfolio of value-oriented shopping destinations located in major metropolitan U.S. markets. Also, Torr will negotiate alliances with hotels, airlines, rental car companies, cruise lines, motor coach operators and other tourism entities, as well as interface with the package travel industry and represent The Mills at major industry tradeshows and conventions.

Torr began her career at the American Automobile Association Hoosier Motor Club in Indianapolis, IN where she served as regional editor of Home & Away travel magazine and managed the execution and promotion of special events. Torr continued to gain valuable sales and management experience, building important business relationships at a variety of companies, including Indianapolis Star Media Group, The Saturday Evening Post magazine, Caesars Entertainment and most recently at The Hagerman Group.A graduate of Ball State University, Torr is also involved in the local community, and has served on the Heart of Gold Auction Committee for American Heart Association, Mother of the Year Fundraising Dinner Committee for March of Dimes and the Annual Fundraising Event Committee for Phoenix Theater of Indianapolis.
