Stephanie Casey has been appointed Director of Hotel Operations at the Charleston Marriott Town Center. As a 22-year old college graduate, Ms. Casey arrived in Charleston looking for a job — much like most other recent grads — and had no idea that taking a position as a bellman at the Charleston Marriott Town Center would lead to a lifelong career. Now having been at the hotel for 18 years, she has worked in a variety of positions including Front Office Manager, Event Manager, and Senior Manager of Rooms Operations.
"One of the most rewarding take-aways from some of my experiences have been the connections I've made as an event planner working with a bride in planning her wedding and making multiple preparations over many months for her special day," notes Ms. Casey. "Words just can't express how I feel during her first dance with her new husband. To become a part of someone's family and share that very personal moment is an honor and a pleasure — and just one of the many treasured experiences I have had being a part of this hotel."
Stephanie Casey is a graduate of West Liberty State University and Marshall University Graduate College with a Masters of Science in Industrial and Employee Relations. She is a Girl Scout Leader for her daughter's local troop and also volunteers with the Girl Scout Council to oversee a Local Area Leadership Team.
The Charleston Marriott Town Center is located in downtown Charleston and features 352 guest rooms. Following a multimillion dollar renovation, the guest rooms now include enhanced amenities, new furnishings, and upgraded wireless Internet.
