Mark Cooper, CEO of IACC has announced the election of Rachael Bartlett as President of IACC-Europe for a two-year term.
Rachael currently serves as Head of Sales & Marketing at Warwick Conferences, University of Warwick. Rachael assumes the role of President after serving as Vice President and member of the IACC Global Board of Directors for the past four years. She succeeds Jeu Bressers, who steps down after serving as president for five years. According to Bartlett "Jeu has made considerable achievements and progress establishing the IACC-Europe chapter since its formation in 2011 and the board of directors is grateful for his valuable contributions to IACC.
Bartlett commented, "I am delighted to have been elected as President, which will allow me to continue the important work of the association with my colleagues on the chapter and global boards. Our plans include continuing to achieve the strategic plans set by IACC. Our focus for 2015 is on continuing to grow our educational platforms and to raising awareness of IACC, our brand and the value that conference centres bring to all stakeholders."
Bartlett further comments "I look forward to working with my colleagues on the board to continue to promote the exceptional meetings experience and great meeting environments that IACC members provide."
Rachael has 20 years of experience in the conference centre market beginning with Principal-Hayley conference centres as a Business Development Manager, where she was first introduced to IACC at the IACC-Americas annual conference. Rachael has worked for other IACC member conference centres since this time, Macquarie Graduate School of Management and Mount Eliza Business School, the Sundial Group and at DeVere Venues at Staverton Park in Northamptonshire. For the past six years, Rachael has been Head of Sales and Marketing at Warwick Conferences.
