Maria Jose Montiel

María José Montiel has been officially appointed Director of the Tourist Board in Benidorm.

With more than 30 years experience in travel and tourism, María José is well-known in the industry from her days as Manager at Thomson Holidays in Benidorm.  She speaks perfect English, having lived in New York from 1970 to 1975 after studying Liberal Arts at Hunter College in the City university.

 

María José has worked for the Tourist Board since 1999 and makes frequent visits to UK travel agencies and operators promoting the resort.  The resort remains Britain’s favourite Spanish holiday destination with 1.5 million visitors annually and has recently been suggested as a World Heritage Site.
