Chinese living in Shanghai found chance to know more about Turkish tourism after travel exhibitions in the city: first with WTF – World Tourism Fair, and second IT&CM China.

Turkey will continue its promotion at Expo 2010 that will start in May and continue until November next year.

The best destination award is given to Turkey at one of the most important travel exhibitions of China; WTF – World Tourism Fair.

Turkey attended the 3rd IT&CM China for the first time this year and presented MICE facilities of Turkey to Chinese tourism professionals.

In these days, Shanghai looks like a construction site. People are working in Shanghai 24 hours to finish the construction for Expo 2010. With the completion of the projects a new city will be formed for Expo 2010 on an area of 5.3 km2. Over 70 million people around the world will follow Expo 2010 Shanghai where each country has its own pavilion. Turkey will also promote itself at its pavilion.

In 2008, number of travelers visiting abroad exceeded 2 million. According to UNWTO, about 100 million Chinese travelers will go abroad by 2020.

Countries that make the best promotion and marketing will get the biggest share from Chinese market.
