Michel Horn - Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre

Gerd Steeb, President of Centara Hotels & Resorts has announced the promotion of Michel Horn from General Manager of Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld to Vice President - Operations of Centara Hotels & Resorts. Mr Horn will be responsible for operations of all Centara properties in Bangkok, North of Thailand, Egypt, Middle East, India and Sri Lanka.  He will also continue to oversee the operations of Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld.

David Good, who is the existing Vice President - Operations will continue to be responsible for Centara's properties in the South of Thailand plus Hua Hin, Prajaub Kirikhan, Pattaya, Eastern Seaboard, North East of Thailand as well as the Philippines and Maldives.

Mr Horn, who is French, graduated with a Higher Degree in Hotel Management from the University of Hotel & Management of Strasbourg, France. He also attended several hotel training courses and management courses in France and the United Kingdom. Mr Horn has over 25 years' experience in hotel management, including 13 years in Accor, and has worked as general manager in  various countries including France, UAE, United Kingdom, Singapore, China, Cambodia, South Korea and Thailand.  He also worked with Centara Samui Beach Resort, Samui as a general manager in 1994 for the hotel pre-opening.

Mr Horn was managing director of Cambodiana Investment (S) Pte Ltd and Hotel Management & Consulting Services Pte Ltd in Singapore for 10 years. Prior to being promoted to Vice President - Operations, he was General Manager of the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld for three years. In his new role as Vice President - Operations, he will continue to act as General Manager of the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld.

Centara Hotels and Resorts currently operates a chain of 25 hotels and resorts throughout Thailand, with the properties being either self-owned or managed under contract, and a further 13 are at present under development. In addition five resorts have been added in international destinations, totalling 43 properties.
