ITB Berlin 2013 was held from 6th until 10th March 2013 in Berlin, Germany. At the exhibition Ukraine was represented by 11 Ukrainian cities and regions with the total booth area of 500 sqm.
Kyiv booth was organized by Tourism Department (Kyiv City State Administration) in cooperation with and support of GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit).
In the framework of the ITB Berlin 2013, the city of Kyiv was a main part of the all-Ukrainian booth. During the exhibition, Kyiv tourist potential was successfully presented to the trade visitors. All guests had the possibility to take part in the quiz “What do you know about Kyiv?” and won various souvenirs. Visitors also tasted Ukrainian traditional drinks and sandwiches, made of “salo” that were kindly presented by the city partner “Kozyrna Karta”. “Ukrainian Souvenir” Ltd., which produces modern trendy clothes made from natural fabrics, provided representatives of Tourism Department with the traditional Ukrainian clothes for ITB Berlin 2013.
For the 13th time the Cologne Business School on behalf of ITB Berlin conducted an assessment of all ITB Exhibitors. On the whole, more than 10 000 booths in 26 halls were evaluated. In general, there were 11 different categories. As a result, the best exhibitor was chosen in each category.Ukraine received the 5th Best Exhibitor Award among 50 European countries according to a defined set of criteria: quality of the offered information and services, booth’s design, authenticity and creativity, friendliness, competence, appropriate amount of staff relative to the booth’s size, sustainability of stand and the attractiveness at private visitors’ days.
