Drawing from its network of international buyers, ETOA can now bring targeted travel trade workshops to destinations throughout the continent.
On 17th October, ETOA buyers will travel from London St Pancras destined for Paris. During the two-day programme trade buyers will have appointments with a range of local suppliers and will be provided with a programme of familiarisation trips and social events. All local arrangements including travel and accommodation are provided to buyers by the Paris Île-de-France Tourist Board.
The B2B workshop will be held in the Musée de l’Armée, situated in Les Invalides. This first day will end with a reception of wine and cheese tasting, followed by a dinner overlooking the city from the Ciel de Paris restaurant atop Tour Montparnasse. On the second day buyers will venture out of the city to visit the Museum of the Great War in Meaux, scheduled with the forthcoming 1914-18 commemorations in mind.
François Navarro, Director of Communications at the Paris Île-de-France Tourist Board said: ‘It is a great opportunity for the Paris Île-de-France Tourist Board to welcome this event for the first time, and to give the tour operators attending the chance to meet both a wide range of suppliers and to discover new aspects of the region.’
Tom Jenkins, Executive Director of ETOA said: 'Paris is a vital city for incoming tour operators, and we are delighted to be strengthening our co-operation with Paris Île-de-France. This is also reinforces our ability to get buyers together with the right suppliers, helping them to sell a destination.'
