To promote Taiwan as a premier tourism destination in Asia, Taiwan Tourism Bureau provides diverse traveling packages catering to Taiwan Tourism Events Calendar with new subsidy policies for incentive tours such as cultural performances, planning assistance, and souvenirs to encourage overseas incentive travel and meeting events to Taiwan. Grants are ranging from NT$30,000 to 200,000 depending on group size. What’s more for the first-time is that incentive group over 150 pax and above, the Tourism Bureau will provide a ceremonial welcome dinner as special bonus!
On the other hand, Taiwan Tourism Events Calendar selects 42 international events to showcase unique Taiwan, covering religion, folk customs, sports, and innovative arts and craft activities, and allowing foreign and domestic tourists to join and appreciate Taiwan’s year-round cultural activities across the nation. In April 2014, one of the 42 events on the occasion to celebrate the birthday of Mazu, known as goddess of the sea in Taiwan, the “Mazu International Festival” which is the largest and oldest religious activity, has just kicked off. Tens of thousands of worshippers will join the pilgrimage, hoping to be endowed with good luck for the entire year. To welcome all buyers and media friends during IMEX 2014, Taiwan Tourism Bureau will prepare “Mazu Lucky Towel” as the most creative souvenir, symbolizing the best wishes from Taiwan Pavilion.
