Pegasus Airlines, the airline that continues to expand rapidly with its new destinations, has just completed its first year of flights to Dubai after launching the route on 18 October 2012.

Dubai-Aerial-ExcursionsSince launching flights to Dubai a year ago, Pegasus Airlines has flown 87,318 guests there at great-value fares.

Attracting guests from across a number of countries and from various cities within Turkey, 75% of guests flying to Dubai from Istanbul since the beginning of 2013 have been transit passengers. During 2013, most guests flying from Turkey travelled from Ankara, Antalya, Dalaman, Izmir and Trabzon, whilst guests from outside of Turkey have originated mostly from London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Paris and Stockholm.

Pegasus Airlines' Chief Commercial Officer Guliz Ozturk says of Pegasus' first successful year of Dubai flights: “Our new flights to Dubai, which began at a frequency of four times a week, were increased to five times weekly flights by the time our summer season began. And it's our hope that we’ll be flying there daily in the near future. Since flights to Dubai began, we have seen an increase of 11.8% in the number of guests flying between there and Istanbul. Our low-cost airline model and dynamic pricing system means that we bring something of value to every one of our new destinations, in turn contributing to the development of the these markets. On behalf of Pegasus Airlines I'd like to thank all the guests who have flown with us on our Dubai flights since their launch.”

Pegasus Airlines' flights to Dubai run five times a week in each direction between Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen and Dubai, flying out on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Pegasus guests can fly from Dubai to 13 Turkish destinations: Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Bodrum, Diyarbakir, Elazig, Hatay, Hopa, Izmir, Kayseri, Konya, Trabzon and Van; and to 33 other international destinations: Amsterdam, Athens, Baku, Barcelona, Basel, Belgrade, Berlin, Brussels, Bologna, Bucharest, Copenhagen, Cologne, Donetsk, Dusseldorf, Kharkiv, London, Lviv, Marseilles, Milan, Moscow, Munich, North Cyprus (Ercan), Paris, Pristina, Rome, Sarajevo, Skopje, St. Etienne/Lyon, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Tirana, Vienna and Zurich, making a total of 46 connecting destinations.
