The 20th EADPH Congress Co-President and Local organizing chairman- Prof. Dr. Betül Kargül, in a statement before the congress, stated; “The Association of Dental Public Health, aims to determine effective oral health programs and the oral dental health policies of countries, to establish enhanced links with European commissions, developing an oral dental health program increasing awareness, based on teaching and academic resources, creating a network and working together with international organizations. I believe that the EADPH Congress being held for the first time in Turkey will be very important and have a great contribution in the promotion of our country. 11 esteemed scientists, 5 from abroad and 4 local, have been invited to speak at this international congress. 122 abstracts have been sent from different European countries, and this number is quite a high number compared to prior EADPH congresses, which is a proud success.”

In addition to the rich scientific meetings, congress participants will get the opportunity to experience the beauty of Istanbul and traditional Turkish hospitality in the framework of a carefully prepared social program.

Another first for the 20th European Public Dental Health Congress will be working together with Çöpmadam (Garbage Woman) in order to contribute to a Social Responsibility Project, with waste materials generated during the Congress being redesigned and utilized after the Congress. The project works in women’s employment and the support of recycling.

The Congress is being organized by Kalyon Tourism Travel Agency & DMC.
