A Turkish cargo jet plane, which belongs to ACT Airlines, has crashed near Kyrgyzstan's Manas airport, when trying to land in poor visibility at 7:31 local time.
According to the airport administration, the plane was supposed to make a stopover at Manas, 25km north of capital Bishkek, on its way from Hong Kong to Istanbul on Monday.
The flight had five crew members on board, and one of them survived, as the plane crashed in a residential area, Kyrgyz Health Ministry informed.
The plane ploughed for a few hundred meters through the village of Dacha-Suu, damaging some 15 buildings, said Mukhammed Svarov, head of crisis management center at the emergencies ministry. At least 37 people had been killed, the ministry said.
