Erciyes’ new ski resorts are now becoming more and more popular all around Turkey and in Europe as well.
By putting winter sports and winter tourism at the top of their agenda, Erciyes A.S aim to raise the profile of the city of Kayseri by hosting national and international sports events, such as World Championships and maybe the Olympic Games in the long term. The organisers want to make Mt. Erciyes a center for winter sports, a place known all over the world. The first stop of the 2017 CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour will be one of the major highlights on the programme throughout this winter season. The tournament will feature a DJ right by the center court to contribute to a perfect atmosphere. The event will have some extra fun times and shows along with Snow Volleyball activities.
16 men’s and 12 women’s teams will compete for a grand prize €5.000.
The players and visitors will also have the opportunity to taste the delicious Turkish cuisine including; sucuk, pastirma, yaglama, yag mantisi, and katmer. The local organisers are waiting for players and spectators to enjoy the event along with all the flavors that the city of Kayseri has to offer! You will sip your tea and make yourself comfortable while enjoying the beautiful view of Kayseri.
As a second visit to Turkey, on March 3 - 5, Mount Uludag in Bursa Province of Turkey, will host the 2017 CEV Snow Volleyball European Tournament. The Bursa leg of the tournament will also feature a DJ by the centre court to contribute to a perfect atmosphere. The event will have some extra fun times and shows along with Snow Volleyball activities. Players and visitors will also have the opportunity to taste delicious Turkish cuisine, such as Iskender Kebab, Gazoz (soda), Kemalpasa and candied chestnut.
Despite being an older resort, Uludag is regarded as the most popular resort in the country and is very crowded during winter. Two main skiing zones and 14 lifts are located throughout the hills of Uludağ, while the pistes in the Uludağ Ski Center measure about 20 kilometers in length with separate areas for snowboarding and heli-skiing. What makes Uludağ popular is both its proximity to Istanbul and its vivid nightlife still bustling on harsh winter nights.
