John Shavinsky

Intrepid Aviation announced that CIT Aerospace leasing executive John Shavinsky has joined the company as its new Chief Operating Officer.

Shavinsky joins Frank Pray, the recently appointed President and CEO of Intrepid.

“John brings a tremendous amount of experience in the aircraft leasing industry with him and joins us to implement our expanded leasing platform,” said Frank Pray.  “John’s industry wide relationships and broad aircraft background greatly expand Intrepid’s capabilities.  We are excited to be working with John given his experience and reputation.”

Shavinsky was formerly Senior Vice President at CIT Aerospace. Prior to that, he was with International Lease Finance Corporation and the Boeing Company.

Intrepid Aviation, now in its 19th year of operations, is a privately held commercial aircraft lessor that owns and manages commercial aircraft leased to airlines worldwide. The Intrepid Aviation management team, based out of offices in Memphis and New York, has substantial experience in the acquisition, ownership and leasing of commercial aircraft.

In 2006, Intrepid Aviation formed a partnership with Reservoir Capital Group, a privately held investment firm with a flexible, opportunistic investment approach. Reservoir’s investment funds currently manage approximately $4.5 billion in assets.
