Australia’s leading convention bureau, Business Events Sydney (BESydney), continues to add to its team of leading industry professionals, with Martin Boyle joining the company as Client Relationship Manager UK/Europe on 13 May.
Martin has extensive experience across the business events sector and for the past four years has worked with European and international associations at international management company Congrex UK as Director of Association and Conference Development.

Prior to joining Congrex, Martin spent three years in the role of Corporate Sales Manager at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, where he secured international corporate events from clients that included RBS, Standard Life Insurance and Selex Galileo.

Martin will join General Manager Business Development, Kristian Nicholls, at IMEX, Frankfurt and will represent BESydney at EIBTM later in the year.

BESydney CEO, Lyn Lewis-Smith, said the bureau was excited to welcome Martin to the team.

“It’s our professional, hard-working team that ensures BESydney is a leader within the industry and that Sydney is Australia’s number one business events destination,” Ms Lewis-Smith said.

“Our industry is all about people and we are committed to hiring talented and passionate professionals who are dedicated to achieving BESydney’s, and indeed New South Wales’s long-term goals. Martin has a wealth of experience within the industry and we are thrilled to welcome him to the team and working with him to showcase Sydney and NSW to the world.”

Martin added that he too was excited to join the company and looked forward to building on his existing relationships and forging new connections in the UK and Europe to win more business for Sydney and NSW.

“I am absolutely delighted to be joining the BESydney team from here in Europe. As a CVB, they have always been recognised as one of the global leaders. And, as Sydney’s reputation as a top international conference destination continues to grow, the future is bright for us and for our clients. I look forward to contributing to the city’s ongoing success and reputation,” Mr Boyle said.
