With more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Rojas will lead the procurement, coordination and logistics of special events hosted at Surfcomber, while elevating the hotel’s profile as a distinctive venue for staging high-profile indoor and outdoor events among planners and production companies.
Prior to assuming her new role at Surfcomber, Rojas was responsible for overseeing daytime operations as the food and beverage manager at SLS Hotels in Miami Beach. Prior to that, Rojas served as the director of catering & conference services at Shore Club Hotel. There, Rojas increased food and beverage revenues via an aggressive direct sales effort, while managing the catering and conference services department. Additionally, Rojas served as special events director at China Grill Management, where she increased sales by 15 percent.
A Miami native, Rojas graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida International University. Rojas is an active member of the Miami community and is part of the South Florida Chamber of Commerce and the Miami Beach Hotel Association. Rojas is also generous with her free time, volunteering for such organizations as the Environmental Restorations of Beach and the Ocean Reefs, as well as helping animal shelter and rescue programs.
