Oakwood Worldwide, the global leader in corporate housing and serviced apartment solutions, announces the addition of Michael Price as director of operations South Asia and Southeast Asia for the company’s portfolio of Oakwood branded properties.
Price will focus on delivering operational excellence for 12 properties that are located in South and Southeast Asia portfolio.
Price will report to PG Mathew, Oakwood managing director. He will be dedicated to management of Oakwood branded properties under the Premier, Residence and Apartments brands. He is one of two operations director positions Oakwood recently established to strengthen the company’s ability to identify and pursue development opportunities for the organisation. Price joins Martin Fluck who leads operations for 15 Oakwood branded properties located in North Asia.
His appointment supports the brand’s expanding presence and strength in the region, allowing for continued focus on greater operational effectiveness and local expertise for the Oakwood branded properties. In this capacity, he will play a pivotal role in driving productivity, improving service quality and establishing strategic direction to achieve performance objectives.
Price brings more than 30 years of hospitality experience from across the Asia Pacific region and the United States, including extensive skills around new property launches, operations and management. During his previous tenure at Oakwood, he was country manager for India and served as general manager for the Oakwood Premier Cozmo Jakarta, which received the company’s “Property of the Year” award under his leadership.

Price has held senior management and leadership roles with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, InterContinental Hotels Group and Westin Hotels & Resorts. He will operate out of the office in Singapore.
