Robertson Stewart joins Warwick International Hotels as Chief Operating Officer Europe.
He started his hotel career in 1992 at Disneyland Paris and some years’ later, joined le Meridien Etoile Paris as Executive Housekeeper. His ambition and his willingness to embrace challenges took him to relocate abroad: as Director of Operations at the Royal Meridien in Warsaw, Poland, and thereafter, in Budapest, Hungary, between 2003 and 2008.
In December 2008, he returned to Paris and took the lead of the Concorde La Fayette, a high-capacity hotel of 950 keys. After the sale of the Concorde group in 2013, he set up his own consulting business as well as taught management and strategy in several renowned business schools in Paris, sharing his expertise in operating large hotel structures.
Ulla Schneider, who oversaw the operations of the European hotels since 2005, will continue to assist the President in global strategic planning and development plans of the Warwick International Hotels’ Collection as well as handle group legal matters. She will also continue to oversee the operations of the two resorts in Cuba that were recently signed on by the European division of Warwick International Hotels.
“We are delighted to have Robertson Stewart on board, and are confident that his experience and his commitment will reinforce the success of Warwick International Hotels” declares Richard Chiu, President & Founder of Warwick International Hotels.
