Hahn Air’s Jörg Troester elected to ERA board

Jörg Troester, Head of Corporate Strategy at Hahn Air, has been appointed board member of the European Regions Airline Association (ERA).

Hahn Air is a German scheduled airline that has specialised in distribution services for other airlines since 1999. Being the world’s largest company of its kind, Hahn Air covers 190 markets and partners with 300 air & rail partners and 95,000 travel agencies worldwide.

With over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, Troester is an expert in the field of airline distribution and the author of various white papers which have significantly influenced industry relevant legislation. He is a member of the board of directors of UATP and also represents Hahn Air at various IATA conferences.

“I am very honoured to serve ERA as a member of the board to champion the interests of regional airlines and to add ideas to political exchanges and finding sustainable and effective solutions and developments for aviation in the European regions”, says Troester. “In light of the ever-increasing challenges the industry is facing, I look forward to contributing to ERA’s engagement in regional aviation and air transport in Europe, as well as to its continuous support of its member airlines.”

Simon McNamara, ERA’s director general, says: “The addition of Jörg Troester from Hahn Air to ERA’s board will bring new input and thinking to an already strong board. With a strong, dynamic and committed board in place, ERA’s governance guarantees its members and their sector an expert and influential representation before Europe’s decision makers.”
