  • Published by Ozgur Tore

dmaiDMAI has retained the executive recruiting firm SearchWide to manage the search process for a new CEO.

SearchWide specializes in executive search for the travel/tourism, hospitality, tradeshow and events industry with an expertise in the DMO segment. Searchwide has extensive experience placing industry leaders and has recently placed top executives for Houston First, Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, NYC and Company and Brand USA.

“During the next few weeks we will talk to as many key stakeholders as possible to get their input before starting the search and Searchwide will be able to assist us with this”, stated Bob Lander, Chairman of the DMAI board of directors and CEO of the Austin CVB. DMAI’s volunteer leaders will gather in Dallas in early October to discuss the future of the organization as well as the search for a new CEO. “We want to be thoughtful, thorough and transparent as we work through this process” continued Lander.

Charles Jeffers, COO of DMAI will assume the role of interim CEO during this transition period.
