The meeting was opened by President of ATOR, the Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism, Alexander Radkov. "It has been a difficult year. We have faced a number of bankruptcies starting with the Lanta-Tour Voyage. The market has managed to survive, but a lot of efforts have been spent in order to normalize the situation. There was a need to change the law, but, unfortunately, the amendments which have been adopted, do not solve completely the problem of outbound tourism market’s recovery. Therefore we have to work seriously and offer solutions that perhaps will be radically different from the previously proposed ones", - Alexander Radkov said. The priorities of ATOR for 2013 were approved at the general meeting. In particular, we plan more active participation of the Association in the public and industry expert councils, as well as supporting projects and ideas aimed at development of domestic tourism. In addition, ATOR will continue working with universities and other educational institutions, to strengthen its positions in the regions and relationships with foreign consulates and tourism offices. In 2013 ATOR will also support child and youth tourism, tourism for older people and improve the image of the industry in general.
