Johannes Jung has been appointed as Director of Market Strategy – Western Turkey.
This newly-formed Revenue Management Cluster consists of the Istanbul Marriott Sisli, Courtyard Marriott Istanbul Airport, Renaissance Izmir, and the JW Marriott Bodrum opening Spring, 2015.
Johannes is a graduate of the University of Applied Sciences, Bad Honnef – Bonn, Germany where he received a diploma in Hospitality Management (2009). He also achieved a Bachelor of Science in Hotel & Restaurant Management (2008) from Northern Arizona University.
Johannes began his career with Marriott in late 2008 at the Cologne Marriott Hotel as an Intern in Human Resources. Within six months he discovered a passion for the Revenue Management discipline and accepted his first official role as a Revenue/Reservations Manager with the Renaissance Salzburg Hotel. In June 2010, Johannes transferred to the Vienna Cluster as Revenue Manager responsible for 3 full-service properties. He moved to the Brussels Cluster two years later as Cluster Revenue Manager. Johannes transferred to Istanbul in August, 2013, where he served as opening Director of Revenue Management for the Istanbul Marriott Sisli.
The new Revenue Management Cluster provides a cost-effective platform to provide Revenue Management services to our managed hotels in Western Turkey and supports Marriott’s future growth plans in this important region. Johannes brings extensive Cluster experience and expertise to the role and is the ideal candidate to lead this effort.
