The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) listed world’s most expensive and cheapest cities.

Japan's Tokyo - Osaka, and Australia’s Sydney ranked the most expensive in the world to live in.

Moreover, the Economist Intelligence Unit worldwide cost of living index 2013 placed Melbourne, Australia fifth after the Norway's capital, Oslo.

Financial capitals of India and Pakistan - Mumbai and Karachi - were the cheapest cities in the world to live followed by New Delhi. Nepalese capital of Kathmandu and Algerian capital of Algiers were the other locations among the world's five cheapest cities.

Asia and Australasia account for 11 of the world's top 20 most expensive cities, with eight from Europe and one from South America.
