Guests gathered on the rooftop of The Star to enjoy the cocktails, gourmet food, live music, and of course the spectacular view.
Touted as being Sydney’s hottest entertainment destination this summer, Sky Terrace more than lived up to expectation, with the 350 VIP guests enjoying Sydney’s most impressive range of cocktails. Bartenders were kept busy, mixing up classics including Mojitos, Martinis and Cosmos, as well as offering up some exclusive cocktails from The Star’s signature restaurants, such as the Apple and Ginger Sour from BLACK by ezard and Chai Cocktail from Sokyo.
Guests also got to enjoy gourmet food from the pop-up food stalls set up at Sky Terrace, including pulled pork sandwiches, marinated prawn tacos, spiced pork tacos, Philly Cheese steak sandwiches, and a selection of sushi and sashimi. And of course, no summertime rooftop bar would be complete without an ice cream truck, with guests taking advantage of the Movenpick station which offered a variety of gelato with indulgent toppings.
In town while he performs in Grease the Musical at Sydney Lyric, Anthony Callea stopped by and made the most of the rooftop badminton, while Prinnie Stevens enjoyed a match of rooftop table tennis, tweeting “This is going to be the new SUMMER HANGOUT.”
Open to the public throughout summer, Sky Terrace sits atop The Star Event Centre, offering sweeping views over Sydney Harbour and the CBD. Check The Star website www.star.com.au for opening days and times.
Access to Sky Terrace for ferry passengers will be via the elevator at The Star’s Pirrama Road entrance, taking them directly from street level to the rooftop.
Black and Diamond Absolute Rewards members, The Star’s free to join rewards program, will be able to access an exclusive VIP area at Sky Terrace. In addition, a section of Sky Terrace will be available to hire for Christmas functions, offering a unique space to impress staff, clients or your friends.
