Visit Orlando becomes one of the sponsors of the 14-day tournament which begins Monday. The US Open features the biggest stars in tennis competing for one of the most coveted trophies in all of sport. And in 2015, some of the biggest stars in entertainment will be on hand as well.
As a sponsor of the US Open, Visit Orlando will have its logo prominently featured courtside, reaching viewers in more than 200 countries around the globe where the event is broadcast. At the US Open itself, Visit Orlando will have a consumer activation booth, allowing representatives of the destination to engage with the more than 750,000 event attendees. The booth will feature the global "Never Ending Story" campaign creative that launched last week.
The US Open has unveiled its entertainment lineup for 2015, with Vanessa Williams, Ciara and Aloe Blacc joining Josh Groban as featured performers during the fortnight. Williams and Groban will highlight the Opening Night Celebration, with Williams singing the national anthem and Groban performing a selection of songs from his seventh studio album, “Stages.”
Ciara and Blacc will be performing on Finals Weekend, with Ciara singing prior to the women’s singles final and Blacc before the men’s singles final.
The Opening Night Ceremony will be carried live by ESPN2 at 7 p.m. ET on Monday, Aug. 31. The women’s final will be carried live by ESPN at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, and the men’s final also on ESPN, at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13.
