The API gives channel managers, intermediaries and hotels – from independents to small groups and chains – an easy to use and seamless point of access to GTA’s systems. SiteMinder has incorporated the API into its Room Distribution Exchange (RDX). This means that when hotels update rates and availability, the information is immediately available to tens of thousands of travel selling businesses using GTA’s booking systems.
“Our partnership with SiteMinder gives their customers an easy way to put their latest rates and availability in front of tens of thousands of travel-selling clients around the world,” says Martin Jones, GTA’s Senior Vice President for Global Sourcing & Product Development.
“Hotels rely on SiteMinder’s solutions to make it easier for them to work with a wide range of distributors like ourselves and manage rates and allotments to present the most enticing offer to potential travellers. Now, our Supplier XML API makes it even easier for SiteMinder to connect to our systems, helping hotels benefit from our extraordinary reach. This means every hotel – whatever their size or budgets – can reach, market and sell to new and existing consumers.”
