ANA Advances Safety Disinfection Procedures

ANA Group was the first airline in Asia to receive the highest rating of 5 stars in the COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating of SKYTRAX, in recognition of its “ANA Care Promise” initiative to provide a clean and hygienic environment at airports, onboard and in all other situations.


The following are the newly added initiatives for antibacterial and antiviral measures at airports and on board.


  • From April, antibacterial films were installed on the touch panels of automatic check-in machines at all airports across Japan.
  • Antibacterial and antiviral treatments for wheelchairs and strollers will be rolled out sequentially.

Aircraft Cabins:

  • In addition to the daily disinfection procedure at night, we have started regular disinfection of domestic flights using a high-grade disinfectant from February 2021.

ANA Group will continue to strengthen our “ANA Care Promise” initiatives to provide a clean and hygienic environment at airports, on board and in all other situations, with professional medical advisory from Nihon Stery, and provide safety and comfort to all our customers.
