In a move to protest against Israel, the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) has removed Nescafe and Coca-Cola products from its beverage menu.
This morning, the Assembly staff noticed the absence of these products when placing drink orders.
Inquiries revealed that the “Presidency of the Assembly has decided to remove brands that support Israel from the menu.”
Following this decision, all menus served to the Assembly personnel and visitors have been cleared of the said products.
The step is taken in protest against the ongoing assaults in Gaza, and existing stock will be returned to storage.
The Coca-Cola Company in Türkiye

Nescafe, starting its journey with the vision of “a cup of coffee every day,” has become one of Turkey’s most cherished coffee brands. The brand’s goal was to foster a coffee-drinking habit in the Turkish population.
Statistics indicate that coffee consumption in Turkey is on a rising trend. In 2018, Turkey spent $185.4 million on coffee imports. In contrast, the nation earned $10.7 million from exporting 1500 tons of Turkish coffee the same year. The Turkish coffee market has reached a size of 3 billion TRY ($105 million – $1 = 28.5 TRY today), emphasizing coffee’s global importance as the second most traded commodity after oil.
