Kenya’s first Radisson Blu Hotel will be opened by Carlson Rezidor in Nairobi in November 2015. Rezidor's flagship hotel in East Africa will have 271 bedrooms and feature a health club, spa and over 1400 square metres of conference space. Carlson Rezidor will work closely to develop strategic partnerships with key local suppliers with a bigger vision to contribute to the growth of tourism and a better business environment in Kenya.
All conference rooms will have natural daylight and all meeting delegates can enjoy Radisson Blu’s exclusive meetings concept – Experience Meetings. This new concept for meetings and events in Kenya harmonizes the meeting essentials: breakout rooms, food and connectivity with the intangibles: service, satisfaction and sustainability. “Experience Meetings” will be the newest attractive offering of Radisson Blu Hotel Nairobi. The meeting segment is key business for the hotel. “Experience Meetings” provides guests with a consistent high standard of products and services – from the first to the last phase of their booking.
Three elements mark “Experience Meetings”: The first is Brain Food; an innovative and responsible food & beverage solution developed by skilled chefs and nutritionists. Brain Food serves fresh, well-balanced and primarily locally sourced low-fat & low-sugar items: lots of fish, whole grain products, fruits and vegetables that keep the guests’ blood sugar level constant and help them to stay concentrated and to lower their stress level. The second is the Brain Box: a breakout room for participating hotels designed to elevate efficiency and to stimulate creativity. The Brain Box is equipped with a flexible furniture layout like movable lounge chairs and cushions, with adjustable light systems, and special tools like plexi-glass walls to write on. The third element is to enable connectivity: All Radisson Blu properties offer free and fast WiFi for all meeting delegates.
Intangible components ideally complement the new meeting concept: All Radisson Blu hotels follow the service philosophy “Yes I Can!” with a positive and pro-active service approach, and give a 100% guest satisfaction guarantee. Guests can also participate in engaging Responsible Business activities and make their meeting paperless. Members of Radisson Blu’s loyalty programme Club Carlson for Planners (exclusively offered to meetings, conventions and special event planners) will benefit from an automatic offset of the carbon dioxide emissions from any meeting that a member has booked. The hotel will boast an all-day-dining restaurant, a terrace restaurant and bar, a cigar lounge and an authentic specialty restaurant serving different kinds of meat dishes which will embrace locality in the international space.
