Jaz Amsterdam is hospitality with a special Dutch touch. It offers 247 rooms and eleven suites which combine lifestyle and state-of-the-art technology.

The Jaz Amsterdam also enjoys direct access to the Ziggo Dome, a location which attracts well-known stars and stages major events. The Amsterdam ArenA, home to Ajax Amsterdam, and the Heineken Music Hall are within the immediate vicinity. Amsterdam city centre is only eight kilometres away and can be reached by suburban railway in only ten minutes.

Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG, commented: “The opening of the first hotel under our new Jaz in the City brand is an important phase in our expansion and another milestone in the history of Steigenberger Hotel Group. Alongside the Jaz Amsterdam, we are also planning further hotels in European metropolises.”

“Jaz in the City is hip, casual and trendy and offers a local touch,” said Hasan Yigit Vice President of Jaz Hotels and Managing Director of Jaz GmbH. “Jaz in the City is in tune with the times and reflects the lifestyle of the city. It provides inspiration, stimulation, entertainment and fires the enthusiasm in many ways. Jaz combines authentic travel, local culture, stirring experiences and rewarding encounters with a real feeling of being at home.”

At the Jaz Amsterdam, the hotel booking, the stay itself, the check-in and check-out process as well as the payment procedure are all digitalised. This enables guests to use their smart phone as a reception service and a room key. A digitalised stay creates more free time, an experience which begins right on the doorstep.

The hotel offers sophisticated local and international dishes, all prepared using regional produce.

The “Rhythms” Bar very much lives up to its name. Jaz draws upon the local music and cultural scene and brings artists and their works into the hotel itself. It is not simply a place to meet. There are also live acts, concerts and spontaneous sessions alongside cool drinks in an artistic atmosphere. Jaz decorates its rooms and walls with changing exhibitions by local artists.

Music is very much in the air. It is a fundamental component of the brand and fills all the spaces of the hotel. It can be heard, seen and experienced everywhere. The hotel’s own stage even provides a place where it can be practised.

A gym and health area extending over 230 m2 provides plenty of opportunities to stay fit or seek out the peace and quietness of the sauna. Simply unwind and forget everything around you.

Jason Blackmore, CEO of G&S Vastgoed, stresses: “We are delighted to be working with Steigenberger to make Jaz in the City, the third brand to be launched by the group, a reality for the first time in Amsterdam. We are looking forward to celebrating major successes together.”
