Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives

AccorHotels Expands Its Portfolio in The Maldives

AccorHotels’ growing portfolio expands with the latest opening of a Mövenpick Resort and a Raffles in the Maldives.

The brand has just hoisted its first flag in the Maldives, with the opening on the 1st of November of the Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives. This protected tropical oasis is nestled in the heart of the peaceful Noonu Atoll! AccorHotels’ growing portfolio in the Maldives also includes the Mercure Maldives Maldives Kooddoo Resort, Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi, and the Raffles Maldives Meradhoo (scheduled to open in December 2018).

Located in the heart of the Indian Ocean, the Maldives archipelago is renowned for its white sandy beaches, turquoise lagoons and coral reefs. Immersed in the heart of it is the Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives, which has made this paradise its new pied-à-terre.

The hotel combines style and comfort in its 72 Overwater Pool Villas, 30 Beach Pool Suites and 3 Beach Spa Pool Residences.

Michael Melzer, General Manager of the hotel said, “As the first Mövenpick property in the Maldives, the brand has been able to take a unique approach to sustainable development through the resort’s built-in solar panels, in-house water production and plant desalination to minimise its ecological impact on the environment”.

4 restaurants, 4 gourmet experiences
Featuring the culinary expertise for which the brand is renowned, the hotel offers you 4 different gastronomic experiences. The first one at the ONU Marché, the resort’s main dining area overlooking the beach, but also at the Bodumas restaurant with its 360-degree views of the Indian Ocean along with fresh seafood and amazing vintages from around the world. Latitude 5.5 serves you an international grilling cuisine around the poolside.

For chocolate lovers, rendez-vous at the Mövenpick Coffee & Wine lounge, the hotel’s café and wine bar, which presents one of the brand’s signature offers on a daily basis – the Mövenpick Chocolate Hour. For one hour every day, happiness comes in various forms of sweet treats: cakes, fondue, ice-cream etc. And it’s on the house!
