Clarion Hotel The Hub

Oslo Welcomes 2 New Hotels in March 2019

From March, Oslo welcomes two new hotel openings; right in the city centre.

First to open is the Clarion Hotel The Hub on 1 March. The Hub, previously known as Royal Christiania, will be Norway’s biggest hotel, with 810 rooms on 13 floors. Sustainability and environmental protection were the guiding principles during the renovation and extension works, which are now completed.

The hotel is 100 m from Karl Johans Gate, Oslo Central Station and Oslo Cathedral. Clarion Hotel The Hub offers an organic breakfast buffet, free WiFi and free sauna, steam bath and swimming pool access.

Clarion Hotel The Hub is a certified environmental-friendly hotel with its own urban garden Grow Hub. The hotel is BREEAM- and ISO 14001-certified. All rooms have air-conditioning, cable TV and a tea/coffee maker.

Scandinavian inspired dishes and sustainable food can be enjoyed under the high glass roof of the à la carte Restaurant Norda on the top floor, with a concept by the famed chef Marcus Samuelsson. In summer, the terrace is a nice place for afternoon coffee or evening cocktails.

Clarion Hotel The Hub has 24 meeting rooms with a capacity of up to 1850 people, including 10 boardrooms and a VIP room of 80 square yards. A 180 square yards gym is also available.

Attractions such as the Parliament building, Oslo Harbor and the Royal Palace are reachable within 15 minutes’ walk from Clarion Hotel The Hub.

Amerikalinjen Oslo

On 15 march boutique hotel Amerikalinjen opens for the public. In the 20th century, Amerikalinjen was one of Norway’s largest shipping companies with regular passenger and cargo service across the Atlantic to the USA. The new hotel is located in the former headquarters the shipping line.

Under the refurbishment of the building, great care was given to the preservation of the original, luxurious décor. The whole hotel is now imbued with the spirit of exploration that Amerikalinjen came to signify for Norway. Featuring a fitness center, Amerikalinjen is located in Oslo, an 18-minute walk from Akershus Fortress. The property is close to several well-known attractions, 549 m from Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, a 13-minute walk from Karl Johans Gate and one kilometer from Oslo Spektrum Music Arena. Free WiFi is provided.

Both hotels house innovative bar, exciting restaurants and other facilities that are open for everyone to explore and enjoy.
