Singapore's Pan Pacific Hotels Expands Portfolio in 2023

Pan Pacific Hotels Group, a member of Singapore-listed UOL Group Limited announces the launch of PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort.

Strategically located along the pristine beaches of Pantai Tengah at the UNESCO Geopark of Langkawi, the 301-room beachfront resort joins the group's growing network of more than 50 hotels, resorts, and serviced suites in over 30 key cities across Asia Pacific, North America, and Europe by 2024.

The resort boasts a selection of guest rooms and suites that range from 437 sq-ft for the deluxe room category to 1248 sq-ft for a two-bedroom apartment, perfect for small families. Its spacious one-to-three-bedroom villas ranging from 2615 sq-ft to 3982 sq-ft feature a cozy lounge area and a private plunge pool with direct access to the beach. Dining options include the all-day dining restaurant CASSIA, which offers a range of signature local favourites and international dishes, while Lancava, the modern restaurant and bar overlooks the picturesque Andaman Sea offers a myriad of seafood dishes with Southeast Asian influences and a farm-to-table onsite garden concept with freshly grown herbs.



For complete head-to-toe rejuvenation, Suasana Spa offers a range of therapeutic and holistic spa treatments combined with traditional Malaysian-inspired rituals to soothe overworked muscles, relax the mind and invigorate the body, Leisure facilities include a kids' club, an outdoor playground, two pools, jogging trail, and a fitness centre.

“The opening of PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort, Malaysia, gives us the opportunity to expand in the region as the fifth property in Malaysia and Malaysia's Kenanga Research expects tourist arrivals in the country to jump almost four-fold to 9.6 million in 2023 from an estimated 2.5 million a year ago,” said Mr. Richard Tan, Vice President of Operations, Pan Pacific Hotels Group.



“With business and leisure travels slowly resuming, the hospitality industry is set to grow as borders reopen with the overall tourist arrivals expected to reach 80% to 95% of pre-pandemic levels this year according to the United Nations World Tourism Organisation. In the next two years, we are committed to growing the PARKROYAL brand with the addition of nine properties in gateway cities that include Tokyo, Malacca, Dalian, Siem Reap, Jakarta, and Hanoi where we will be well-placed across these strategic locations to take advantage of the travel demand,” said Mr. Choe Peng Sum, Chief Executive Officer, Pan Pacific Hotels Group

The group also expanded its serviced suites portfolio in the region in November 2022 with the opening of the 194-room PARKROYAL Suites Bangkok located at Sukhumvit Soi 6, just a short walking distance to Nana BTS sky train station.

Upcoming openings include PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Hanoi which overlooks the picturesque West Lake, and PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Jakarta, in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
