Extra leg room is on sale at airberlin

Germany’s second largest airline airberlin is offering 40 additional XL seats in Economy Class on its entire long-haul fleet (type A330). A total of five rows per aircraft have been fitted with the new XL seats. Flight guests travelling for six hours or longer can take advantage of a good 15 cm of extra leg room. The XL seats are also located in the front rows of the cabin, so expectant mothers, those travelling with small children and passengers with physical disabilities, in particular, can board and disembark more quickly.

Interested flight guests can now book their extra 15 cm of leg room on flights from 1st December 2015 online at http://www.airberlin.com or via a travel agent (existing bookings can be changed at http://www.airberlin.com/mybooking) and arrive at their destination feeling even more relaxed.

The surcharge for booking an XL seat on long-haul routes online, at a travel agent or directly at the ticket desk is 79.99 euros per route, and is already included for passengers with a FlyFlex fare.

topbonus members can also now benefit from extra leg room and use their accumulated award miles to reserve an XL seat on long-haul routes. During the launch campaign (which runs until 31.12.2015), an XL seat can be booked for just 10,000 miles per route. Miles can be redeemed by calling +49 30 3434 3433. For topbonus Gold and Platinum members, an XL seat is included. topbonus members can therefore enjoy additional benefits that make flying with airberlin even more comfortable.

Miles can be redeemed via the Service Centre at [email protected] or by calling +49 30 3434 3434. The new seats can be visually identified on board by red headrests. Of course, airberlin also continues to offer XL seats on short and medium-haul flights, which can be booked from 19.99 euros.
